Gas and Liquid Permeameter

Quick, Cost Effective, and Accurate
Absolute Permeability

Easy Operation

Quality Components and design

Customizable

The steady state absolute liquid and gas permeameters accommodate hassler type core holders allowing quick sample loading and pressurizing since confining fluid does not need to be drained. The custom software allows for easy setup and pump control. The system monitors differential pressure and will indicate when steady state is reached. Software will complete the needed calculations and give real-time plots and readings for differential pressure and permeability.

The DCI liquid and gas permeameters use high quality components that will reduce maintenance and prevent down time. Differential pressure transducers have high differential proof pressures compared to reading range. Software continually monitors differential pressure and stops the pore pressure pump if pressure spikes unexpectedly, reducing the risk of damaged pressure transducers.  Back pressure is typically set using a dome loaded regulator. These regulators are easier to set and more precisely controlled than manual metering valves.

There are many options available to get a system that works best for your needs. We provide a wide range of pressure transducers, mass flow meters, pumps and back pressure regulators that work for almost every application. Systems can be specified with any core holder type and any sample size, see our core holder page for a complete listing.

Permeability of petroleum reservoir rock is one of the most influential parameter in determining production capabilities. This flow property based on Darcy’s Law is best characterized by conducting flow experiments.  Accurate yet fast measurement of permeability is key to understanding any petroleum reservoir rock. Using DCI’s bench top steady state absolute liquid and gas permeameters users can quickly conduct permeability measurements on a number of samples in a short amount of time.

The quick and intuitive software allows for easy setup and pump control giving user feedback and plots on differential pressure and permeability.
